The Doghouse Store

For those of you that are waiting for the shopping cart to be activated on www.doghousestore.ca and for the pictures and pricing to be completed, I must apologize ... we have ran into some technical difficulties and cannot access the website to make any changes. We are working to correct this problem, along with our Internet provider and the website builder hosting company. If we cannot resolve the problem soon, then I will have to rebuild the entire website through a different builder. We do hope that it won't be long before the site is fully operational and it can start accepting your orders. In the mean time, we will be happy to accept your questions and orders through the 'contact us' form. We can still access the email account for the website. I will post updates regarding www.doghousestore.ca as they become available.

The Puppies Are Here!

We are proud to announce the arrival of Elfi and Pike's puppies. Elfi gave birth to 5 healthy puppies on Sunday October 4th, 2009. She had 3 boys and 2 girls. They appear to be black, black sable and dark sable. This picture was taken when they were 9 days old. There eyes are open now and they are all doing very well. You will find links to Elfi and Pike's pedigree's on my website at www.stormymagicshepherds.com

Pike's Dog House

Pike got to move into his doghouse on Oct 3rd. This doghouse is fully insulated (roof, walls and floor) to keep him warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This house has also been elevated slightly off the ground to keep it dry. The air can circulate under the doghouse and no water can run into it. The doggie door was also installed for added protection against the elements. The roof is hinged for accessibility. This is a very simple plan with wood siding. Pike is the type of dog that would not be too happy with a lot of frilly extras. He is a large German Shepherd weighing in at 110 lbs.. This house was built especially for him, just as future doghouses will be built special for the dog that will reside in it. Next week, construction will begin on the female's doghouses. I am hoping to make their houses a bit fancier.
